So far, no stars have been mentioned for our Write to the Elephant event on October 4th.

Black History Revelations Walk

The eminent grassroots African- Carribbean Historian Steve Martin is staging one of his walks in association with us On October 7th 11am & 3pm. The theme is ‘Revolution’ and in between Steve informing us of the effect and impact these characters had on our lives we will also encounter them along the way – brought to life by actors. Come and join us on this revelatory walk through the streets of Londons oldest borough to hear what these people have to say…….

Write to the Elephant

To celebrate National Poetry Day on October 4th, NEON is putting on a special Elephantine poetry reading: Write to the Elephant. People are invited to write poems during their journeys towards Elephant & Castle and bring them to the event for readings, friendly discussion and networking.

To galvanize passing poets into action, various poetical methods are suggested, some of them newly devised for the occasion. The evening will be hosted by Paul Taylor, who will also offer a performance of trombone poetry, including music specially created for this event. Poems may also be submitted for publishing on the NEON Review site.
